I’m not sure what I expected. It’s pretty obvious by now that conservatives like West only care about vets when they agree that the President is a “criminal.” That the woman is still serving in the Army Reserve despite losing both her legs in combat, while West got drummed out to avoid prosecution for war crimes, just requires a whole new level of chutzpah on his part.

As with absolutely everything else in the Republican Party — and I do mean everything else — it’s all empty symbolism and bluster. They don’t “support the troops” any more than they advocate “small government”. Those are just bullshit lines they feed to the idiot dupes that vote for them in order to stroke those Patriot Glands; glands that are swollen and engorged due to extended lack of use. None of those motherfuckers gives one single shit about any troop that doesn’t agree with them unquestioningly.
