I was just listening to an interview with Werner Herzog. At the end one of the interviewers asked how it felt now that his voice is one of the most immediately recognizable voices in the world and Herzog said, “well it’s not just the voice, it’s the content; like in the movie I made about volcanoes I say ‘the magma below the earth’s surface is trying to blow up the earth and is indifferent to all life whether scurrying cockroach or human being’.”

It’s true. It’s the content.

Werner Herzog starred as himself in an episode of The Boondocks. And it was brilliant.
