Their reason for leaving out the RAND poll is legit. They don’t include polls conducted on the internet. TPM’s PollTracker posts the results of internet polls, but they don’t include them in the average.

That’s not to ignore the fact that RCP sometimes cherry picks. Just that this one isn’t nefarious.

That’s not really a legit reason. If you download their heavily detailed .pdf RAND Corps methodology is just as sound as Gallup. More so I’d argue since Gallup flat out refuses to tell people how they make their sausage.
