Any modern metal fans here tonight? I’ve liked BOC & Iron Maiden on the one end and Megadeth on the other end. Reasonably melodic with strong lyric content are pluses for em.

Slough Feg is probably just what you’re looking for.
I also like Jex Thoth & Kylesa a lot.
And Finntroll, if you can deal with Finnish trolls.
