I need to find something more productive to do in my doddering years.

Keeping up with the wingnutting ills of our society has gotten old after several decades.

Our society has gotten a bit weird. Have you noticed? I wonder if our population size has grown so much that it has now crossed a threshold where even a group that would be but a small percentage of our society can now, through social media, connect themselves into some noticeable blob of malcontent.

On our current trajectory we should hit 400 million sometime in the 2030’s. I wonder what the US will be like then? Should I live to be so old (and I guess the odds are in my favor if an accident doesn’t take me) will I recognize my society? Or will I be like those wingnuts of today who seem to react without thought and slit my own metaphorical throat by voting against politicians and movements that ideally will be trying to help me?

Will I be one of those geezers who screams at kids to “get off my lawn!!” ??? But I doubt that as I doubt I’ll have a lawn - I don’t believe in lawns and would rather have a garden. Maybe I’ll scream “get off my rock pile!”?
