Okay, here it is a nutshell: Dudebro kid asks Harris about how she would handle “so called Assault Rifles” while protecting the Second Amendment. (The kid actually air quoted when he said “Assault rifles”)

Harris said that if congress won’t act she will resort to executive action to put in place a ban on the import of Assault weapons and explore implementing a buyback program for those already on the streets. She stressed the importance of doing the Buyback “right” and not making it seem like a gun grab.

She then asked the audience of college students how many had been through active shooter drills in school. Everyone raised their hand. Harris then said this frustrates her because students should be: “More concerned with filling your heads with math and science than worrying about someone who’s going to run up into the classroom with a gun”.

She reiterates that if she is elected President and congress does not act on Gun legislation within 100 days she will begin taking executive action to ban import of Assault weapons and implement Universal background checks, adding, in reference to Congressional inaction on guns: “I’m done” (i.e. done sitting around waiting for something to change).

Then the audience applauds wildly.
