The point is that no amount of “more science” is going to convince the right wing at this point. Climate change denial is an article of faith. They say they want “more evidence,” but it’s a lie.

Christie isn’t a wingnut, but he does need to keep wingnuts happy with him, so “I’m not sure” was likely the best answer he could give. To have admitted to a belief in AGW would have brought forth cries of “Purge the RINO!”.
