Why are you choosing to ignore the obvious irreversible demographic changes that have occurred since then? Time is not on the GOPs side.

Personally, I won’t feel safe with that assumption until enough of the antiquated atavists really do shuffle off this mortal coil. There’s plenty of horrific long-term damage they’re capable of inflicting until then - perhaps of the irreversible variety.
