For starters, it inflates the city’s expense so much that the city hasn’t been able to hire the number of police it needs. That helps contribute to crime, which is a factor for everyone, even downtown.

You’re not talking about corruption, you’re talking about unions. Unions aren’t the problem. Just pay more in taxes and you’ll be able to afford them.
