Yeah, I’m not buying it. Time marches on, the right to bear arms is now a personal one, gays and (in most cases) women are now considered persons due equality under the law. Our reading of the text in such cases has become more strict, not less, and less encumbered by subjective supposition, not more. Yeah, but this is bullshit. “Arms” that are “necessary” for the “security of a Free State” today might very well include ICBMs with MIRVed warheads. Anyone think the 2nd Amendment authorizes personal ownership of them? Well then, it has nothing to do with personal ownership of anything.
