I agree. But I have to consider the my own behavior and that of my friends.

Of course, we didn’t interrupt a convention, but if I remember, we condoned those that did back in ‘68. And I had a brother that was drafted into the Army right at that time and that weighed in.

I understand time and place. And I understand passion. Like I said…this is tough for me personally. And I understand other’s points too.

I don’t have any personal experience with participating in protests, but FWIW I think there’s always going to be moderate to major level of messiness in protests.

There is no such thing as a protest that is forceful enough to get the job done without also getting a whole bunch of useless carping from the sidelines on how it should have been done better.
