Any other wheezy old geezers veteran observers of social movements here getting a faint echo of the Vietnam Era in the initial (near-panicky) responses of these school boards/administrators to the very thought of organized student protests? Basically the same reflexive reactions: “ban ‘em, threaten ‘em, suspend ‘em!!” - and probably by the children of the same types who freaked out over stuff like this in the ’60s (i.e. dumbfuck conservatives). They can’t tag kids as “commie-symps” nowadays (though I’m sure they’d try) - but the knee-jerk reaction(aryism) is the same…
