That particular mode is me being ignored on purpose. Probably for a service error like not having the food dish properly filled with the desired type of tasty morsel. If he wanted pets he would have simply gotten up there and then forced his way onto my lap.

Thankfully we have one of those autofeeders and our three have been trained to expect the tasty wet stuff in the early morning. Now if the little spoiled things didn’t leave half the bowl to rot for a day. Ugh.
