Eh, maybe, but if he would have lost the popular vote by 3 million (like he did) and Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania go the other way, I don’t think he’d have fought too hard. I’m still not entirely convinced he really wanted the job. I lean towards the theory that he ran in an attempt to goose his Q rating and then sort of Forrest Gumped his way into the Oval Office.
