“Ball Earthers”

Where do these people come from? Have they ever been on an airplane or on a mountain? It is obvious from a height that there is a curvature in the earth’s surface. This observation alone is enough to put to rest their silly ideas. Also, technically the earth is not round, it is also not the shape of a round ball. It is a bumpy sphere. The fact that this is a thing now and that mainstream journalists are even entertaining this twaddle as worthy of any consideration beyond low-grade snark - is exasperating.
