Good point, I would not object to that sort of study. My dad told me all about the Greek gods when I was little, lots of good literature there. You could call it “Creation studies” and cover the dozens of creation stories, some pretty interesting ones in there too.

At the Catholic high school I was teaching at the last couple of years, we studied Greek myths in English at the same time the kids were doing Genesis in religion class. Lots of good crossover lessons.
