Last night I watched that video you posted a Page about last week, Last Train Home. This might sound weird, but my favorite part was the grandma telling her grandson (I’m paraphrasing), “Eat your bitter melon. It’ll be bitter at first, but then the sweetness will come after and you’ll know which one is better.”
That was pretty profound, though I don’t expect the boy will realize it until many years in the future when life has taught him some of its harder lessons.
