I was assuming that today might witness the gradual dialing back of the batshit insane lunacy of the past few days. I appear to have assumed incorrectly.

Much like John Cole of Balloon Juice thought Obama’s election in 2008 signaled ‘Peak Wingnut’, you are far too optimistic.

Personally, I’m worried for Sgt Bergdahl, and for his family. These assholes are whipping up the ‘traitor’ frenzy to a froth, and the Bergdahls don’t have Secret Service protection. How much of a stretch is it to think that somebody will want to exact “punishment” on Sgt Bergdahl for the deaths of those allegedly killed searching for him?
