I’ll throw in some wild speculation as many have. Not saying this is faked, but if Trump withdrew from the race because he is ill, it would let him avoid a humiliating defeat. If the RNC replaced him with Pence, Trump could blame Pence for a Biden landslide, and claim he would’ve won.
