That was one of my favorite moments from the exchange, when Mika tried a different “Why won’t you let us go poking around?” angle to the documents question by asking why he won’t authorize a search of his papers for any mention of Tara Reade’s name. He asked her in response how she expects that to happen, and she ends up being the one who looks blindsided as she’s like “well appoint someone or assemble a committee or something.” She seemed to expect an outright denial and instead got caught basically showing her ignorance of just how monstrous a task it would be to hunt down a needle in a haystack the size of a Saturn V.
