Bloomberg plans to run ads on TV and on the Internet in both English and Spanish. Voting begins in Florida on Sept. 24. His aim is to get Democrats to vote early in Florida because Florida releases the early voting totals and absentee ballot totals on Election Night, just after the polls close. If the networks call Florida for Biden on election night, it will make it very implausible for Trump to claim victory then, which will be a huge psychological blow to him. If North Carolina is also called for Biden on election night (which is possible since it also counts absentee ballots starting well before Election Day), then Trump won’t have a leg to stand on.

If the networks call FL while voting is still underway in other parts of the nation*, it will also be a massively demoralizing blow to the Trumpites and the GOP in general. But yeah, if the call FL for Biden early in the night, then Trump’s campaign managers will realize very quickly that it’s game over.

* IIRC, I don’t think they do that anymore - they wait for polls in Alaska and Hawaii to close now
