Yes.

That was teh whole point.

Beck’s obsession with Soros has taken on a life of it’s own.

Except that that’s not what ‘alter-ego’ means, in any way. You can’t use alter-ego to describe someone’s obsession with another real human being. An alter-ego is a severe personality change for one individual, so severe that it functions as another personality.

You’re just using the term completely wrong, if that’s what you meant.

However, that explanation doesn’t actually jibe with your first use of it:

Call me a cynic but everything he does is very calculated.

Not unlike his alter ego, George Soros. Where one goes, the other can’t be far behind.

You were saying his alter-ego, George Soros, was also very calculated.

And when asked to explain, you said:

You missed my point. Beck’s response was calculated, in my opinion.

The Soros interview was equally calculated.

That Beck assigned a premium value to Soros drivel is a deliberate misrepresentation on his part.

Where you were talking about Soros’s actual interview, and the actual, real human being Soros.

If you did simply mean that Beck has a distorted view of Soros, you chose the worst possible way of expressing that, since what you said was that Soros was Beck’s alter-ego— meaning that Soros and Beck were the same person, expressing different personalities.
