That explains my sudden, post-nasal drip.

I written here before that we are on the NJ state health plan because New Jersey has frozen out or crowded out other insurers in the the state that don’t automatically accept any applicant even if that person is in the middle of very expensive treatment. My alumni insurance is illegal in NJ.

Anyway, today we went to the dentist where my son was to have a filing. He came out with a cap on a back tooth. I was suspicious. I had read an undercover review of dental offices who over-diagnose problems so they can bill at the higher level. And it is an odd office with all these signs about various rules about where you can sit, and who can sit in the waiting room, etc. It’s very controling. From the looks of the other clients, they are on the state insurance too.

Another time I used the county health facility to get an immunization for my son. It was a nightmare. Not only did it take about 2.5 hours, but they herded large groups of us from room to room, and had us all stand up at the same time, and move enmass to the next room, then snake along several corridors until we were next in line. It had to have been a firecode violation to have so many of standing in the hallways.

When I went for a free breast exam, they scheduled 20 people at 9am, and 20 more at 1pm. I finally had to leave, but I asked them why they had such a bizarre way of scheduling. The girl said because so many people don’t show up. I said maybe they would show up if they didn’t have to wait for hours and hours. Morons.

Good luck America.
