We have a real problem in the US of the media mostly failing to call out young earth creationism as the useless drivel that it is. It’s pretty clear that the reason for this failure is that doing so would tick off the creationists and allow them and their enablers to whine about persecution of Christians.

I don’t think anyone cares if they whine. Media companies don’t want to alienate viewers and lose ad dollars.
