Amazing that so many wingnuts attempt to hang slavery on today’s Democratic party when practically all Confederate states, that lost and still hold the Southern grudge, are GOP.

Considering that postbellum Southerners flocked to the Democrats because they were against the party of Lincoln and then fled the Democrats because they were against the party of Lyndon Johnson, I think that it’s safe to say that their politics are more about whom they’re against than what they’re in favor of.
