I’m trying to figure out what the RNC found redeemable in Trump last night that he has been reinstated, so to speak.

If the 40% of the GOP that voted for him in the primary decides to throw a(nother) tantrum and refuse to vote for Republicans down ballot, they lose the House, the Senate, and the White House. They’re in that terrifying position of having the guy who gave them a ride to the party getting blasted and pissing on the neighbor’s roses while the police roll down the street - they are screwed if they stick around, but they can’t go anywhere because it’s not their car.
