Ohh, scary 36 centimeter tall waves? Why that is more than 3 feet, utterly terrifying (not). Let us hope that is as bad as it gets and the successive wave fronts are not any worse…

The problem here is the breadth of the wave; it’s not like a normal three foot high wave that breaks and immediately recedes. It’s more like the entire ocean suddenly gets three feet higher, and stays that way for a while.
