You know, I think I am kind of wound up. It might have something to do with reading the kids’ history textbook about the Great Depression yesterday.

I don’t want to go through another Great Depression, but I feel like we have a president who is both wrong-headed and ignorant about economic matters. My parents got drug face-down and lengthwise through the 80’s recession, and I never wanted my children to have to go through that. So far we are doing okay, but I think a lot of people are feeling fearful about the future, and worse, powerless.

I have to remind myself that the sun is still shining, my kids will be okay, and chocolate still tastes really good. The Great Depression was followed by, economically, some great times, and the 80’s recession was followed by a great economic time. Best yet, I still live in America.
