Dark I think the idea that if you can outlast the clock of your own administration then you’re safe for whatever you did in regards to a white house administration is setting a bad president.

Its not a black and white issue, both approaches have problems.

Not a lot of a lot of good options on this one, James. Things are fairly polarized right now, and indictments of the previous administration could quickly become politicized. It’s more important right now to keep the peace.

And the above point about keeping the peace goes double if any Republican succeeds President Obama, in 2013 or 2017. such a President will be under pressure to punish those considered responsible for unconstitutional or “socialist” policies, and must resist that pressure. It is imperative that neither party feel that its leaders must either hold power or risk prison, for that way lies the end of democracy.
