There was one athlete who actually founded a charity who’s mission is to educate athletes about fiscal sanity.

That’s probably a frustrating place to work. I’d imagine it’s hard to tell a lot of those guys anything.

I worked for an athletic director at (Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff) who tried to educate his football and basketball players about things like social and personal responsibility.

Not only did the players not understand, but most of the Athletic Deparment staff, college administrators and alumni did not understand the reason for what he was doing, either.
