I thought the Solicitor General would be doing that. Have they named a SG yet? Last I heard they were seriously considering Kellyanne’s husband for that position.

The Solicitor General handle cases before the Supreme Court, United States Attorneys in the Civil Division handle civil cases against the government in trial courts.
