My story with Brussels sprouts is the same. Roasted with a bit of garlic! There is nothing that can be done to redeem lima beans. Maybe they’re not bad. But as an example, my dad to this day cannot eat ketchup because when he was in the army he had to put it on everything to mask the taste of the awful food. When I was a kid and went to Georgia in the summers my grandparents had lima beans daily. Just mushy disgusting to me then. The very thought kind of makes me wretch. Same with sweet potatoes.

Damn, first Brussels sprouts, now people hating on Lima beans? Did I log into some weird negative universe where all the good foods are hated?
