Recall that the OT God has his chosen people. Follows that the NT God should have his own, too. And that should be the nation that wins the contest to implement HIs Divine Will in its own laws.

And the clear winner in that category is obviously America.

Which is why things like abortion and gay marriage and the welfare state are all threats - because they are all true abdominations unto him and, if allowed to spread, may even force him to turn his divine back on us and open up a creator-size can of Smite Thee upon us.

We have competition that’s much more religious than we are. We’re middle of the road as far as religion goes.
