Start and “add thirty seconds” are the same button on my microwave.

Without the other buttons though, I couldn’t cook something for three different timers of 1:52, 3:29, and 0:94.

I’d rather have an old-fashioned Amana Radar Range with the mechanical knobs which flip over timer numbers in the windows.
