Nope. Hollande barely got started (2012). But voters are a fickle lot throughout the world. Not that Hollande is some far-left extremist. Going for far-right candidates is rather disturbing. Also a good indicator of the far-right in Europe since people are rambling on about the far-right in Ukraine. It’s a unique part of most of Europe.

So the French don’t learn from history, either? Marine Le Pen admires Putin, who encourages relationships with right wing parties in Europe. Le Pen has famously stated that “Russia has been unfairly demonized”.
