My sister keeps pushing the “testing is unknown so the disease is actually far more prevalent than it seems” narrative, which is driving me nuts because at an approximated 1% death rate (give or take a couple of points), that would be a LOT of dead people.

It could be the death rate is actually lower than we believe because so many mild cases are going completely undetected.
