I’m unwilling to accept that there are no ways to do so, and believe there is every incentive to try to find a way that works.

Where is the burden placed on men to make sure their fellow humans don’t commit rape or sexual assault? I’m pretty sure the “avoiding sexual assault in college life” list for women is a hell of a lot longer than it is for men, and yet it’s ultimately a male’s choices that result in a woman being assaulted. Women are supposed to do everything we can to minimize being in that position and guys are supposed to do …what? I’m sure the guy’s roommate never notices if he brings back a woman who’s slurring her words and can’t walk straight. Or never notices that his frat brother is always getting drinks for a girl who ends up sleeping with him later that night.

The burden of defense should not be exclusively on women.
