I’ve evolved to the opinion that hoarding money is no different than hoarding cats or newspapers. It’s another sickness.

In the case of hoarding money, we have a solution (progressive taxation and punitive taxes on inheritance).

Taxing inheirtence also prevents you from getting a ruling class of people who are there not based on merit but who their parents were. Ya know, the exact thing that many of our ancestors fled.
