Yup. In the meantime they did stop us from having lunch in Juarez (1 to 5 hour border delays). Leaving the immediate border area, everyone on I10 was diverted through a fixed inspection station about 15 miles into Texas. The stop was cursory, probably because of the dogs and obvious high-tech sensors/imaging cameras.

Not sure if it’s still open, (and it’s a right far piece out of your way) but Boquillas used to be a good option. ; )
