God I hate thinking like they think sometimes.

That is certainly my concern. He has a special magic that allows him to escape consequence of any behavior that would have brought down another politician. But cult leaders have a special hold over their acolytes. Many of those who worked for him were devoted to his vision of a white supremacist autocratic America — and enamored of Putin.

ETA: His willingness to release the search warrant and other information makes me especially concerned that the actual charges are far less inflammatory than the speculation of the past couple days.
