Yay, Ted! My new Senator (R-WN) from Texas!

Went to a fundraiser a couple of weeks ago for the the Texas Children’s Heart Foundation ( a really good charity that deals with neonatal heart defects) and spent about 15 minutes chatting with Ms. Ted Cruz. Nice woman. Charming, intelligent, and quite well spoken. I get the sneaking suspicion that good old Ted is a role-playing chimera who is doing what his base expects.

Red meat, in the modern Republican Party, is apparently very effective. Too bad for Texas, too bad for the R’s, but good for Ted to suss out the schadenfreude of his base.

Pitiful, but it plays really well with the gonzo right.
