Trump used foundation money to pay off legal obligations, promote his hotels, and purchase goodies for himself.

mis-spending of any donations received from third parties - we’ll you knew who you were donating to

mis-spending of donations received from trump (and family) - ie donating to his own foundation (which is legal) were inevitably used as tax deductions on his individual tax return

taking a tax deduction for an expense that is not otherwise deductible….there’s a word for that… escapes me for the moment….
