Good, you can answer my question. Why should President Obama not be able to pick Justice Scalia’s successor? I researched it. Presidents have appointed justices in the year of elections and i even found an example of a president appointing a justice to the court after he had lost the election.

Short answer: Because Republicans don’t want him to have that pick and we can block him on this matter.
