Yeah..quite a few people were happy that she got placed in power. In the twisted spirit of Filipino politics, IIRC one of them later got elected Senator. Although thankfully, pretty much every coup attempt afterward was really half-assed.

On a lighter note, I like to think that People Power was the real catalyst to the ‘89 “Autumn of Change.” q;
