Something you don’t see every day:
A dog found at the controls of a tractor on the M74 motorway has caused long tailbacks. http://t.co/z0kqU1mDGN— BBC Scotland News (@BBCScotlandNews) April 22, 2015
Delays were caused on a busy stretch of motorway earlier “due to a dog taking control of a tractor”.
The bizarre incident was reported by Traffic Scotland at J13 of the M74 near Abington in South Lanarkshire.
It later emerged that a sheepdog called Don, owned by a local farmer, had leaned on the controls of a tractor, taking it from a field on to the road.
Police and the farmer later recovered Don, who was unhurt, and the tractor, from the central reservation.
