My buddy in Chandler, AZ has a band called Clusterfolk.

He built the hammered dulcimer we used in our first Irishy folk band, ca 1981…still makes instruments in his garage.

I couldn’t build a hammered dulcimer if I hired a luthier to do it.

My hammered dulcimer is starting to suffer the slings and arrows of all hammered dulcimers: It is pulling up on the ends from the tension of all the strings.

I am trying to talk my wife into letting me drop around $1700 for this dulcimer with added dampers.
