Well, certainly it’s subject to interpretation, overinterpretation, and misinterpretation.

I guess I’m going on about this because there are a couple strands here that bother me, one of which is conflating criticism of the policies of the Israeli government with not supporting Israel and her right to exist, and with antisemitism generally. Mostly, my Jewish friends and relatives can’t stand Netanyahu and his policies, and some of them are supportive of BDS. It’s reminiscent of being accused of treason for criticising GWB, and now with criticizing Trump.

So far every criticism that I have seen of Rep. Ilhan’s Tweet is coming from Jewish Democrats who are not supporters of Likud or right-wing Israeli policy, but feel they are being all lumped in together with Sheldon Adelson & AIPAC.
