They do everything bigger in Texas, including the state legislature. They’re the largest legislature in the nation, and that means more derp to go around.

The derp will keep being laid on thick, and that’s exactly how the anti-choice extremists want it. They will lie, smear, and attack PP regardless that PP did nothing wrong and that there were no sales of fetal tissue or that donations are done and PP is entitled to reimbursement for shipping costs, which is standard operating practice across the medical and research fields.

The anti-choice extremists play upon emotion - knowing that gruesome imagery sells and that choice of language is picked precisely to maximize their effect. That’s why they go with pro-life, not anti-choice, even though the life they supposedly care about means screwing women who are actually alive. They care more about the fetus in the womb for 9 months than they do for the women (or men for that matter) before or after. They don’t want birth control to be an option. They don’t want preventative care. They want PP shut down, even though it provides medical care to millions of people, because they find the idea of family planning to be antithetical to their religious beliefs and/or worldview.

And those lies have managed to get enough in Congress to buy into the BS that they’re willing to consider yet another GOP led shutdown of government over it.
