It’s not making a big deal over abortion, Dark, it’s making a big deal over abortion access, about the right to choose.

It can’t get much more blatantly bizarre-ass weird than to photoshop a crowd into a bunch of people slavering for abortion. Abortion is a pretty important subject, and it’s true that the Democrats take protecting abortion rights seriously. It’s good that they do, given the stupid, unprecedented, inhumane, misogynistic wave of anti-abortion legislation passed by the GOP, legislation not based on science but on religion. But it isn’t the central issue for most Democrats, it’s only an issue at all because the GOP wants to ban it in contradiction of all pity, privacy, and common sense.

Sure, it’s satire. Satire can be dishonest too. Pictures of Jews as octopuses with their fingers extending into every nation’s capitals are satirical, but they’re also dishonest in that they portray a fictional representation of Jewish influence on politics.
