The lesson here is:

“Talking about racism in the GOP really pisses Republicans off”

I’m surprised nobody’s said that more Republicans than Democrats voted for the civil rights act yet, or that (gasp) Lincoln was a Republican!

I would say accusing the GOP of being racist or largely racist really pisses off Republicans who aren’t racist and don’t appreciate the stereotype.

I recall similar unrest among Democrats about not being patriotic or coddling terrorism ruffling some feathers. The zeitgeist of LGF has moved slightly to the left of where it was immediately after 9/11 but that is no excuse to demonize conservatives.
